Give a Name a Place in Your Story

Their Names Live On connects writers with families who would like to see the names of loved ones remembered in the pages of fiction.

Instead of choosing a random name for your next novel, short story, or screenplay, why not choose one that carries real meaning?

How It Works for Authors

Browse submitted names
Explore names shared by families and find one that resonates with you or fits your story.

Use the name in your work
Include the name in a novel, short story, screenplay, or other work of fiction.

Create a legacy beyond the page
By using a submitted name, your story becomes part of something larger — helping that name live on for generations.

This is about more than storytelling. It is about connection, remembrance, and creating something truly special through fiction.
